One Tuesday at the end of 2016 we had Luke Escombe in at Damien Gerard Recording Studios Sydney who Recorded, Mixed and Mastered his LIVE Blues set, all one takers straight to 2 inch tape. It’s from the ‘Luke Escombe Blues Sessions’ that his new album “SKELETON BLUES” was born which you can download for free by subscribing to his mailing list at https://www.lukeescombe.com. Luke does a lot of really cool stuff and I always open his emails when they arrive in my inbox to keep up with his latest goings on.
Andrew Beck engineered, mixed and mastered the recordings that same day. I was fortunate enough to be the guy who got to film the whole thing and the video below was edited just in time to be released on new years eve 2016.
It’s an electric blues cover of the old spiritual ‘O Death’ made famous by Ralph Stanley in the movie “O Brother Where Art Thou”.
